SJDR Saints Girls Dominate Guardian School 17-1
Caroline Dippel's grand slam highlighted a 12-run first inning as the SJDR Saints Girls defeated Guardian School 17-1 on Wednesday.
The Saints exploded in the first, capitalizing on walks and key hits. Aaliyah Cartozian and Millie Albert drew bases-loaded walks, Haigan Bishop delivered a two-run single, McKenna Loper launched a three-run homer, and Dippel capped off the inning with her grand slam.
SJDR added five more runs in the second, aided by Guardian School errors and RBI singles from Regan Kissell.
Luciana Nichols earned the win, pitching two scoreless innings with four strikeouts. Kissell provided relief.
Offensively, Bishop and Kissell each had two hits. The Saints displayed excellent plate discipline, drawing 11 walks, with Albert, Nichols, Dippel, and Sophie Welch each drawing two. The Saints' defense was flawless, committing no errors, and Albert led the team with seven fielding chances.
Guardian School's offense was limited to two hits, one each from #39 and #27. #27 recorded Guardian's lone RBI.

The SJDR Saints Girls will host Palmer Catholic in their next game on Friday.
