The San Juan Del Rio Saints - Boys faced a challenging matchup against a strong Palmer Catholic team, resulting in a 17-7 outcome on Friday. Despite the scoreline, the Saints showcased their resilience and never stopped competing.
Yuji Yamada was a standout for the Saints, driving in three runs and going 2-for-3 at the plate from the number seven spot in the lineup. Connor Uhrie also contributed with two hits, as the Saints amassed 12 hits overall—a testament to their determination and ability to perform offensively.
Palmer Catholic brought their A-game with multiple home runs and a strong offensive showing early on. Jack Broder worked hard in his start for the Saints, battling through three innings with two strikeouts.
